The house of Seo-yeon in Architecture 101

On Je-ju Island, there is a café which was the setting of the latter part of the movie titled Architecture 101. In the movie, this café was a house for the main woman character. Now the café has become a new sightseeing spot in Je-ju.
The Architecture 101 is story about a college couple. When they were students they did not confess their feelings because of little misunderstandings between them. But a few years later after graduating they fall in love again.
The love rekindles when they meet at the male actor’s architecture office coincidentally, and work together on a new house. This house has been turned into the café. Many tourists come here to experience the feeling that the main characters felt when then met again. This café is located in 2975, We-mi ri, Nam wong eup, Seo Gui po si, Je-Ju Island.
Is is not hard to find this location once you are in Je-ju.

The Time Capsule Park in My Sassy Girl

The second place is The Time Capsule Park in Jeongseon, Gangwon province. If you watched My Sassy Girl, you would probably remember the tree where Tae-Hyun Cha and Ji-Hyun Jeon buried a time capsule. This movie was very successful with almost 5 million viewers when it was released in 2001. Therefore, many people have been curious about the tree and where it is situated. Now the tree is called The Sassy Pine which is named after the movie. Unfortunately, today’s The Sassy Pine is very different from 10 years ago because of remodeling. However you can always visit the park and make special memories with your family or friends. The Time Capsule Park offers you some facilities. First, you can get your own time capsule and bury it in the square around the tree for several years. Second, there is another plaza where you are able to scribble on each tile. Last, the park environment and features provide the backdrop for great photos, including this famous tree and other beautiful landscapes.

Dam Yang metasequoia tree-lined street in May 18

The Dam Yang metasequoia tree-lined street provided the background for the movie May 18, which brought 7.3 million viewers. In May 18, the road where the hero, Kim Sang-Kyeong, drives his taxi became famous. The beautiful and peaceful scenery in afternoon makes the hero appear pitiful because of the ordeal that he will confront. As this road has become popular, it received the ‘2002 beautiful road forest’ grand prize, which was hosted by the Korea Forest Service. Also, it was selected as Korea’s most beautiful road. There are 487 metasequoia trees, so it looks like a ‘green cave’ or ‘green tunnel’, when we walked this road. If you don’t want to walk, it is possible to drive and pass this way because the metasequoia tree-lined street is constructed alongside Route 24.

In conclusion, we talked about Architecture 101 in Je-ju Island, where you can enjoy the time and pretend to be movie stars. Second, you make your unforgettable memories in Jeongseon, like My Sassy Girl. Finally, if you visit Dam Yang, you can see the great scenery, which is the setting for May 18.
